Financial Analyst in New Smyrna Beach, Florida

Reporting to the VP and General Manager, the Financial Analyst will utilize their skills and experience to support the executive team by providing timely, accurate and thorough financial evaluations and analytics. You possess a keen ability to turn numbers and data into meaningful reports that inform senior staff decisions for current or proposed business opportunities. You will also be responsible for preparing financial statements and special reports upon request. In short, you thrive in a world of numbers and enjoy turning them into meaningful information for the business. Other responsibilities of this role are:

  • - Complete requested financial analysis, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
  • - Report on financial performance of assigned business units and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
  • - Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and provide information to senior staff.
  • - Work closely with the team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • - Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • - Support cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures. 
  • - Provide analysis of trends and forecasts for optimization.
  • - Analyze and conduct comparative analyses to aid in identifying and drive process improvements.
  • - Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps.
  • - Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.


To be successful in this role, you will not only be a master of detail, a whiz at analytics but capable of working well with others to apply your data talents. You’ll possess strong interpersonal skills as a proactive communicator and demonstrate your passion for contributing to the success of the team. Your skills, education and experience include:

  • - Professional accounting designation (CPA) or in progress of achieving designation
  • - Proven proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • - Understanding / Familiarity of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
